ZOE, OUR OWN LA NINA

It's spring. Sunny with temperatures in the mid-50s today.

Nice, but it has me concerned that the birth of our daughter has somehow created the atmospheric disruption of an El NiƱo. The trade winds over the Huron River have never been the same. This is the same child, you'll remember, born during an April 24 snowstorm. Average temperature on April 24: 61 degrees.

Hmmmm.

The Weather Channel is predicting snow again by Saturday. That'll help convince me our daughter isn't a supernatural force behind weather anomalies.

(Plus, it'll mean Zoe's sled and my brand new, Arctic Blast snow shovel with ribbed poly blade, contoured handle design (to minimize bending and stooping) and nylon strip (to avoid scratching the deck) can do more than collect dust! )

Hope everybody is well. Have a great weekend.

All I know is that my world has not been the same since that memorable day in April of 2005.
