Sunday was Zoe's 16th birthday. Sweet 16. Weeks, that is.
Instead of a "coming out" party, Zoe went into her Baby Einstein activity center for the first time. As you can see in the photo above, she was particularly fond of the slot machine.
Sure, the manufacturer claims the purpose is to "stimulate and entertain" by introducing "animals, colors, shapes, textures and languages" through "nine engaging and interactive toys." Right. Whatever. We know the truth. It's all a ploy by those Indians to get the youth of America hooked on the thrill. Giraffe. Giraffe. C'mon... Oh! Music note. Damn. Damn. Damn. So close. Spin it again, mom! It's due! Spin it AGAIN!
The Baby Einstein activity center is a complementary product to the Baby Einstein activity gym. I'm not quite sure of the connection (except -- when combined with a playpen, vibrating chair and swing -- they take up 95 percent of our available living space) but you can bet your bottom dollar that somewhere in South Dakota the Sioux are currently planning a chain of tax-free workout centers.

Sweet sixteen (weeks) and probably been kissed a million times. I know her Busia can account for about 367,892 of those kisses.
As for the slots, maybe Zoe should have aunt Jeannine show her how it's done. What's Zoe doing next Sunday? Dziadz and I could take her and show her some slots that would knock her socks off.
Busia
According to the packaging on our Baby Einstein animal flashcards, our son Max (now 14 months old) will be able to choose the college of his choice with early and repeated use of said cards. No kidding.
Enjoying the blog, Rich. Congrats!
