OO LALA - PART DEUX

The rest of the story, from Momma:

My decision to take Zoe to Cookie Cutters was based on the fact that she isn't very comfortable with strangers at the moment, let alone strangers wielding sharp objects. I figured a place aimed at kids would be used to dealing with this and just maybe all the murals, chairs that look like cars and Elmo DVDs would make her first haircut painless (or, dare I say, fun) for both of us.

Zoe wasn't havin' it though. She refused to sit in any of the cute chairs and finally (after much negotiation) agreed to sit on my lap for her cut. She whined through the whole thing and when the nice lady that managed to cut her hair while she twisted and jerked said, "Can you give the camera a big smile?" She simply said, "no." She wasn't kidding either. Hence, the picture below.

Once the haircut was over, however, I couldn't get her to leave! After all, they had Elmo toys...


and kids to watch...

and a cute pink car that she suddenly loved, now that it was time to go!

A big bonus: We actually found some barretts that stay in her hair (though she doesn't mind ripping out half of her thin strands to get them out). Plus, we now have a funny picture and a baggie of hair taped to a 'First Haircut' certificate. And some amusing memories, to boot.

When I finally got her off the play structure and walking out the door she yelled, "BYE!" about forty times and waved furiously... like she was bidding farewell to her best friends.
