FILLING WHITE SPACE

Sorry there hasn't been much substance here lately. Trust me when I say that's about to change significantly this weekend. There's a landmark occassion brewing for Sonja and I. And for Zoe. And for Busia and Dziadzia. The challenge... how do we get pictures of it all for the blog?

Until then...

The lack of blog material really is a good thing. We finally had a calm, no-major-plans weekend. Sometimes those are nice. There was Saturday's big game (Zoe clapped politely each time Daddy jumped around the living room... and that happened A LOT!), followed by breakfast at our favorite greasy spoon Sunday morning. Then a few errands, which included a trip to Lowe's for a new kitchen garbage can.

That seemingly mundane task became high-priority when Sonja stumbled upon Zoe standing next to our old garbage can, lid flipped open, snacking on the leftover pasta thrown away after lunch. Zoe apparently subscribes to the Constanza Principle. She also figured out how to open the new, seemingly technologically advanced, garbage can in about 10 seconds.

Well then, cooking for her this weekend should be a snap.

Hope Zoe has fun at Busia and Dziadzia's this weekend. I know Busia (and Dziadzia I'm sure) has been looking forward to it BIG TIME! Expect her to be completely spoiled. But that's what grandparents are for anyways, right?
